Correction (I shouldn't post until I've had morning coffee):

Weston released the following two Gregory releases on Micron Canada

1) Extra Classic
2) Mr. Isaacs

The part about Abraham's releases coming years later, and questioning it's legitamacy still remain (there are enough Abraham stories to fill up an entrire forum!)

only have the JA Cash and Carry Mr Isaacs

and this pressing of All this Love I Have on Abrahams is amongst the best I've heard

Dave,

Did not Pete and Abraham contest over their release of the same LP being int he same city and obviously butting heads once in a while?

The Abraham pressing here at RA has a large deep groove. looks like a very early pressing

So Pete released "Mr Isaacs" and "Extra Classic" on Micron Canada. His Canadian releases were fairly close time-wise to the JA release (i.e. within a couple of years).

Abraham released "All I Have Is Love" years later when he was doing work with Sydney Crooks of the Pioneers, who produced that set. So when you say "early pressing", it came years well after the 1973 release (i.e. in the 90's). He was not distributing it in the 80's. I don't have a copy of his pressing, so I don't know if it's sourced from the original stamper, master tapes, or from a vinyl copy, like so many of his releases are.

The rule of thumb is that if it's on his label, there is an excellent chance that there is a better sounding version of the title floating around somewhere that is worth finding.

So they are all different LPs, so there really wouldn't be anything to contest over...it's not as if both of them released the same LP, or the same tracks with different LP names.

I wouldn't trust that compilation...

I've heard the interview with Pete Weston is fake and Pete Weston haven't given a permission to "Pressure Sounds" to release this compilation.
What total rubbish. Presure Sounds is a legitimate label, not some grab-and-flee biznis. Course dem get permission. The interview is correct because I bump into Mr Weston in JA and he was telling ME that the album is a good one.
Now stop this foolishness.

The only time I referred to "early pressing" was in reference to the JA Micron copy of All I have IS Love. I simply stated that the yellow labeled Abraham copy I've run across sounds good (of the array of Abraham pressings).
