Anyone know what's up with Everton Blender? Used to love his stuff back in the 90's. A truly wicked, heartical style. Well, I still like his stuff, just haven't heard anything in a while. Tunes like Love Jah, World Corruption, Slackness, Higher High, Abbabajani, etc ( done in the days when roots was supposedly dead) were truly crucial. So what's up? Someone get this man back on the mic!

He`s had a couple of tunes last year, but the rhythms were weak. I think his best recent one was on the `Huster` rhythm (5 or 6 cuts) `More Fire` (Love Injection) label from 2007 all real instruments, real drums, real bass, etc. Also on that rhythm is Ernest Wilson - I Know Myself relick of the original vocal. sound clip at African Beat.de
