I was hoping you could tell me when the singers edition was printed? Will both of them ever be released again. Can you give me the heads up when they will be available? Are there amy places online that the books were distributed to, maybe I can get a copy that way.

Bellyman; There's really no long story to it. Ray Hurford is a good friend of mine I got in connection with when hunting for the fantastic book Reggae Inna Dance Hall Style (Kaski & Vuorinen). Since I'm a deejay nut and much work had already been put in the the book we figured we really should finish it and publish it. Ray actually tells has a small summary in the introduction.

Nilo82; 100 copies was the initial run. There will be a second run of yet another 100 copies (which I think will be the final).

Pisces; You can find info on the Singers-book here (will have to update it a bit with the release of this one);

The singers book will unfortunately not be reprinted. The deejays book we will print 100 more copies of.

@K

...which makes it a "true" limited edition! Congrats to you and Ray

Someone apparently sent money for both books. The singers book is not available any longer. Just wanted to point that out.

Thanks for the support guys!

Read a review of the book here;

Any book in which Ray Hurdford is involved is essential material. It's been for more than 25 years in my case.

What must I say. The Small Reggae Axe Album Guide (Dejays) is a musical education to all fans of DJ music covering 40 years of DJ music(from King Stitt to Vybz Kartel). So buy it, before it is out of press!!!
