Wow. Just goes to show you how much variation there is in people's personal taste. I think 2pac was one of the great poets of our generation. This is coming from someone who listens to almost nothing but early 70s roots reggae.

I know his work and can't agree with you. if he was one of the best rappers then he would have come out with positive words & attitude but he did not do that. How come he got shot several times and even shot dead ... I wish the best for the ones he has left behind and the last thing i wanna do is talk shit about a dead person but 2 Pac was a rapper but not one of the best.

Technically and melodically, he was a true great rapper, I repeat. You are free to agree with the lyrics or not. I personally don't get the whole of it (as for regage music) but nevertheless I appreciate it.

About being shot, Peter Tosh has been shot too (like many many others, sadly), would you say he was not a rightfull person ? Come on.

Did i say something about him being rightful or not ... no. i was talking about him not being one of the greatest rappers. Why he got shot several times is something i do not know exactly, who does? I grew up far from the ghetto and gang related stuff and born white so what the hell do i know about a black man's struggle? All i say is that i do not consider him as one of the greatest.

And it all depends on how and why someone gets shot. Some get shot because of their ideals and others get shot in war or because of gang related stuff, jealous husbands/wife stuff, money, ... Six million ways to die, choose one!
