Visitor: The song "The Earth Is The Fullness" on the Moll-Selekta release doesn't sound Black Ark-recorded at all to my normally very Ark-sensitive ears. However, another 7" released on Mike Brooks Harvest label mislabeled as "The Earth Is The Fullness" is indeed and without doubt recorded at the Black Ark ca 1976. That's probably where the "rumour" comes from.
Davve is absolutely right on this and i'm glad to hear someone uses his own ears to identify whats what instead of taking all readings for holy ... and indeed i still have to encounter an Earth Is The Fullness take that IS Black Ark recorded; sofar the two ive heard on Harvest 7s arent and i'll post the matrices onhere together with a soundclip somewhere next monday/tuesday of that mislabeled song which Davve mentions above for everyone to convince him/herself and have a guess at the title ...
can reveal already its a Pablo like late '75 to early '76er Ark recording, not a later voice overdub but originally voiced by Brooks at the time ...
Hi Rox. You have any idea what that mislabeled song is called. Probably `Come Along (Jah Son)'´ or something. And that singer's name is on the tip of my tongue ...
... hi again, the two matrices i've heard that arent BA are: # JahLoyd 400(PF 500) and # ED 3163 RRS
there is btw also a nice toast on above tape by Jah Woosh on a Santic 7 : Free Jah Jah Children
