I agree. They did it RIGHT - every one of their releases is essential and the remastering is the best bar none.
I know nothing about B&F's current state of affairs, but conjecture that it is unlikely that we'll see a resurgence of B&F itself.
More reissue labels will come and go - more artists will get involved in remastering and reissuing their own material (I really hope this will happen) and the model of the reissue label will become moreorless obselete.
Just conjecture mind you...

Maybe your right ACEtone, but it's a sad outcome. I didn't know about it, you'll tell me I'm not very updated and that's right. Didn't go neiter on their board but what a number of crucial releases. Let's pray pressure sounds will never follow, cause the model of the reissue label is great, it ensures a pure roots selection, a great quality and documented and esthetic album notes and covers.
What about Makasound, I remember they recently asked for the generosity of their fans. Any news?
Blessings

Well my impression has always been that reissuing old reggae stuff is not the most lucrative business to be in and these days not as essential a service as it once was, for obvious reasons. Steve Barrow et al deserve a lot of credit for getting so many great releases out but I don't think they imagined they would get rich doing it, or indeed that it could be sustained for more than a limited period of time.
Probably their insistence on scrupulously paying rights holders and artists didn't help their profitability either. Some irony there I suppose...
