what is the "JUSTICE / BASEMENT" label?

Post by algoriddim »

In an instance like this, what IS "JUSTICE / BASEMENT".

Since there's already a Justice label and a Basement label. Does that just mean that it was simultaneously released on both, was the "Justice" part different than the actual Justice label itself?

I'm confused, and I don't know enough background on the label itself to make sense of it.

Seems like it's a modern re-issue attempt from Bunny Lee...

Definitely 90's JA re-issues of Bunny Lee Productions originally released on other labels (not his own), and finally released on his own label, JUSTICE, which was manufactured and distributed by The Basement Inc., with his label name and their Matrix numbers. I don't know why he didn't just released them on his own Justice label that was manufacturedand distributed by World Enterprise out of New York in the 90's....Would have been a much nicer pressing. Must have been a copyright/lisencing issue?
