Why pointing out that he's gay then? I know its a recurrent thing for some people in Jam, but I would have hoped that those *super males* frustrations and doubts wouldnt enter RA.

Fine, I guess I took it too hot too...
I never really know how to act against that batty things in reggae. Its a hard thing to discuss comes everytime to full emotional threads. Anyway, am far off topic.

Bombastic idea!
"Her eyes are a blue million miles" comes to my mind. But I would go for any Beefheart song in Tubby's hands.
And what Lee Perry could do with it!!

Big Eyed Beans from Venus! Wow! Seems even better, you're right.
"There's no Santa Claus on evening stage" would also do it.
And Lee Perry should go for "Ella Guru"!

ha, ha yes! Or Pena, or the Blimp, or Big Joan (Big, big gi-ir-ir-irl).
Lee Perry interviewed at a lucid moment said that any music including rock could be dubbed. I'd like to see any of the greats try it with stuff that doesn't even keep the same time signature for more than a few seconds!
Still, whatever the result, would have to better than Elton John...certainly more interesting.

Doesn't EJ have a few "reggae" connections though

- he recorded a cover version of Nicky Thomas' "Love Of The Common People"
- he recorded an LP, or at least many tracks of it, at Dynamic Studio in Jamaica (Goodbye Yellow Brick Road).

As for his sexual preferences - whose business is it anyways, besides his own?.

I personally couldn't care less about his sexual preferences but it has to be said that at various points in his career it seems (to me anyway) that he used his sexuality as a self-promotional tool - which puts it in a different light than someone who wanted privacy on the sexuality issue but were 'outed' cruelly by the media.
I could be wrong of course.
Always struck me that David Bowie used his gay pose (during his gay phase!?) as just that - a pose to gain fame and notoriety.
Not something I have any respect for.
As to Elton John's reggae credentials...nothing of note...nothing to see here...move along

I do love music, not only Reggae, but Latin, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Folk from all over the world, and even classical music.
But there is no place for Elton John in my audio system.
