Hey Kandi,

you can find Rasta Pon Top on "Live At Maritime Hall San Francisco" and there is always a Live Album available for download from 1983 it's called "Live In Salzburg Scotland". Definatly a must have specially it is for free.

In general i love the Twinkle Brothers, i could listen to them all time. But when you buy the first records you can't be wrong at all and if you like these records you'll like the other albums too. But i find it hard to get them. Very expensive to order them from UK or just to get a offer for an album. Just look out and you'll find!

What exactly is the deal with Twinkle Brothers CDs? They're always significantly more expensive than most other albums (well, everything apart from the Frontline discs, that is) wherever I've seen them.

Is it just because they're Jamaican imports? I don't think that they're out of print or particularly rare.

The official Twinkle Records store didn't work six months ago when I looked and it still doesn't work now... :(

i think they are so rare cause everything is released independent by the Twinkle brothers themselves or?

On Ernie B's, the entire Twinkle catalog of CDs is $9.99, which is right in line with, if not cheaper than, most of the other CDs. Also, the address for Twinkle Records is in Emeryville, CA, USA.

Cool, thanks! I wasn't aware of that site.

I really do want to get Rasta Pon Top on CD and explore the rest of the Twinkle Bros.' discography at some point...

As far as exploring their discography.....

Check the 3 frontline discs: Love, Countrymen, and Praise Jah.
Also these: Burden Bearer, Enter Zion, and Underground. All are great.

I don't think you'd be disappointed with any of them.

I've got Praise Jah and Countrymen at present - as they were the only ones I was able to get ahold of. I've seen that 'Free Africa' compilation but that one looks *really* messed up (in typical Virgin Records style).
