Why dont i see alla those young Upsetter 'connoiseurs' do research, discover and discuss some real undercover material instead of bringing up all the stuff longtime mapped ?
moreover why dont i see you 'insiders' recognize, bid'njump on obvious but rare undiscovered Perry material offered WITH soundclip even on eBay ?? ... THAT is collecting, you should be on top of every reggae centimeter sensing for possible Perry stuff ! ... know what, im kind hearted man and'll give the young gentlemen a tune to chew on, maybe, just maybe you'll pick up ... dont think so bwahhhahahahaaaa ... now guys start bidding if you really wanna be Upsetter somebodies okay, really, you should be screaming please SHOW US THE WAY ... link corrected; goodluck !

No time to reply - I have to be on top of every reggae centimeter sensing for possible Perry stuff. That way, in 35 years I will be don gorgon. :D

Ron, when are you going to start a Beres Hammond podcast?

Yes, thanks so much Rolf, I don't know how I would have created my Scratch website without all of your expert advice. You were such a big help with the Radio Scratch podcast - so generous in sharing all of your ultra rare tunes with everyone. I don't know what us amateur Lee Perry fans would do without your wisdom and guidance.

Oh, wait...I must be thinking of someone else. ;)

there's a tune by the Hawks called "Nowhere to Hide", i think the label i have it on is Happy Tone (i would have to check to confirm). i've been told this is a black ark-recorded tune but i just don't hear it. i also listen for the hi hat first and then the mix/phaser 'bubble' when id'ing scratch tuneage, but this one is tricky.

thoughts/opinions?

"Nowhere to Hide" is a Black Ark recording... you can notice it from the drums.

Btw does anybody know if "The Hawks" just another unknown vocal group or is this group also known with another name?

They do sound very much like the Wailing Souls.
