Old Reggae Charts

Can somebody help me with some sources with old reggae charts (60s, 70s, 80s, 90s) No mater, Jamaica or UK or US. I just found some UK charts on Tapirs site and at Dancecrasher. Mostly I'm interested in finding some jamaican charts. Thanks in advance!

It wouldn't be so much about different "taste" as it would be about "who paid who what" to get the song placed on the chart. Different markets, different payers and payees, different results. It would be more interesting to see actual record sales as a barometer of what was moving the people in the various locations.

If you read some of the interviews they go into producers paying off people for the record to get in the charts. As for the Black Music Charts they are compiled by 4 or 5 record shops in London and Biringham and not as the whole UK sales.

These interviews and charts & reviews are nowhere else on the web and I have typed them out straight from the Black Music Magazine.

I doubt there is many written charts for JA, they might have had a chart show on JBC & RJR reggae radio stations at the time, so recordings of these shows might have a chart rundown, if you can get recordings of the shows!!!!!

the more records you sell the more royalties you have to pay to the artists....
