what's the original rhythm for this one?

Post by stepper »

I'm interested in knowing what rhythm (and artist) this bass-line comes from.
I *know* I've heard it, but can't recall where.
I'm interested in knowing other versions of it, too.

Thanks.

The original cut is "Youthman", recorded by singer Wayne Jarrett for producer Glen Brown.

The original is Brown's "Wicked Can't Run Away" on Grove?

It's not glen brown but Glenroy Richards

Wicked Can't Run Away on pantomine, this song later appeared on re-issues as glen brown - wicked cant run away ( and Glen Brown did a ]version himsalf, releaseds on grove)

Never heard this "Pop" version before. Quite good use of the bassline. Nice jazz-up chords.

Guess they don't tell you Glen Brown = Glenroy Richards in that article? Recorded/produced 2 years earlier than Youthman.
