So im going to New York, staying in Manhattan pretty soon.
Any places I should check out while I'm there. Looking for some record shops with nice selection.
Thanks

Re: New York City
Well, goodluck in searching. You'll definitely find good stores if you're brave enough to explore the rough parts of The Bronx or Brooklyn.
If you're a 70's roots type, you'll even have to do more digging because many reggae stores in NYC cater to the large Jamaican immigrant population, which means a lot of Elephant Man and Sizzla.

deadly dragon sound is probably the best. If you are looking for good shows, well good luck because nothing a gwan!
There are good dances though, but we want the real thing up here.
Hope I help you out a bit

Deadly Dragon has a nice selection,
if you're around on a tuesday you should stop by ThreeKings reggae night,
The Leopard Lounge (Sin Sin)
248 East 5th Street (corner of 2nd Avenue and 5th St.)
good vibes, puff openly inside, toots and eek-a where there recently, starts around 10.
