"my cup"

Post by pf »

hi everybody,
that´s one of my favourites songs by the wailers. I only have the Perry recording but I heard once another version, faster and more lively.
Do you know where to find it? I have some material in mp3 so if you have it maybe we could do some exchange?

sorry, i didn't realised i said the same thing as you did. Anyway, I just heard a sample of that My cup(version) and it's just the riddim, without vocals...so it's not the one.

As far as I know there are:
- Wailers vocal version
- Wailers vocal extended version
- Upsetters instrumental version
- Dave Barker vocal version

However they are all using the very same 1970 Lee Perry produced Upsetter rhythm.

The song is a.k.a. "I've Got To Cry" and "Make Up".

Original by James Brown, titled "Guess I Have To Cry, Cry, Cry".

Hope you find it, and if you do please post the result here.
