More Scratch legends (myths?)

I've been told that the island 7 inch is a more vocal cut, though i haven't come across that one myself yet. And so far noone has confirmed!

ive heard that 7" and it sounded the same as the lp version to me. love to be proven wrong

Well, I suppose if you heard it, we will have to take your word for it. And I'm not trying to be sarcastic now, fyi.
But whenever (if ever) I come across that 7 inch, I will most probably give it another listen myself as well

well ron i should have said "ive heard what was purported to be that 7"" because i didnt actually hear a 7" record; someone pointed me to a link of what was supposed to be taken from the island 7", but like i say i didnt hear much if any difference. certainly there were not extra words in there which was what i was looking for. wish i still had the link but that was 5 years or so ago on the blood and fire board

i think i will email dave katz about that single and see what he says. will report back

just heard back from david katz: he doesnt have the croaking lizard single in question and he cant find his notes on it. he says he is probably in error and that single probably, very much most likely, has the same version as elsewhere though he did note that somewhere, perhaps on this single, the song is extended just a bit but i believe that is just a longer fade out at the end.

so...no one here has the single eh?
