Hi everybody - hope you're doing ok.
I have 2 songs going around my head that I heard while I was in my younger days which are driving me insane.
The first song:
I believe it might be called "Jane" or "I Really Love You Jane" - I Have tried cross referencing the words "Jane" & Reggae over at discogs but to no avail.
I am sure that the above is a mid - late 80s track. The only lyrics that I can recall right now are "Jane, I really love you Jane" as the chorus & it also uses the "Tra-la-la-tra-la-la-tra-la-la-tra-la-la refrain as used in Bob Marley's "Buffalo Soldier". It is a mid - tempo song & has a male lead vocalist.
The second song:
I am sure that it is called "She don't love me" or "She don't love me no more". This track I am sure is from late 80s or very early 90s.
I tried searching for this on discogs too, but drew a blank.
This one seems more like a duo collaboration from what I recall similar to those of Peter Hunningale & Tippa Irie & Peter Spence & Tippa Irie or Leroy Sibbles & Stamma Ranking.
The lyrics from the first verse I can vaguely recall are:
"I've been hearing things about this girl, (She don't love me)She's been running round & saying bad things about me (She don't love me) - I forget the rest of the lyrics.
The chorus seems to go - "She don't love-ove me no more, she don't love-ove me no more".
Please, please could somebody help solve these as I am going insane trying to figure these out..
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
Peace. Phunky.
