Does anybody have any info on a record label from Brooklyn NYC that was called Flames? They released roots music in the 70's afaik, I have one 7" and have seen a couple of others on eBay and other sites. Primarily I wanna know who used to run it but any info is appreciated.

Edit: Here's a picture of a label on a Flames 7" so you know which Flames I mean, cause apparently there are others of the same name.

probably owned by winston jones, got licenses from jamaica and produced from brooklyn as well

Thanx mate. Yeah it's tunes like that that makes me so interrested in this label. Well heavy tunes. Also the funk stuff I've found so far is pretty cool.
