*so Anyone know where this label comes from ? Toronto ? New York ?*

Patrick "Rocktone" is Toronto-based, having moved here in the mid-70's. and had a store, Rocktone Records, on Vaughan Rd, just south of Eglinton. He also promoted stage shows in the late 70's.

This release came out after the store closed in 1982, when he travelled between New York and Toronto frequently. Many Canadian releases would actually be pressed in New York, because it cost money to ship them to the U.S. (customs, duty etc) when the majority of copies were sold in the U.S., or shipped the the UK. It was also cheaper to press vinyl in New York than in Canada.

Rocktone is still around, although laying relatively low these days.

After finally having a listen i can say it's a nice album but not anything special imho - wouldn't make it into my top 5 Barry Brown albums...

Its not his best album but I do think its still a little gem.

My fav track on this album is "Me No Easy".

Also worth looking our for on the Rocktone label is an album by Lady Ann called "A True Me" which also has some nice tracks.

Only down side for me is the short play time with both albums coming in well under 30 minutes. Each has 8 tracks all under 4 minutes in length.
