Scratch´s influence on new Congos album

Post by I-Lion Tafari »

The new Congos album is co-produced by Lee Perry. What can we expect? How will he influence the production or the sound/mixing? Just a bit Black Ark-ish..?..
Or is it just a gimmick to have better sales?

Any suggestions?

@ han , talking gibberish??? do you understand what he says in patois? (no disrespect, just curriousity)
because i only see that at about 4 minutes in the clip there is lee perry arranging a riddim, telling the band how the bridge should sound. that is a producer at work

Yes i agree jumbo i didn't see Perry talking nonsense, just directing the song.

Can't see why the Black Ark is mentioned tho?

No worst deaf that the one who doesn't want to hear... Perry has not produced anything interesting since 1979 whent the Ark sank in Kingston... And this brand new Congos is a pain in the... ear. :D

Bougard (the producer) tells on a french reggae site (http://www.reggae.fr/dev/forum/viewtopi ... =10553&p=2) it's at Mixing Lab, and We see Boris Garner on Bass, Roobie Lyn, and Clive Hunt ! Lee Perry is a good advisor, runs like a producer, and shows how he is really ... not a mad man ! We will see...
