I suggested some sort of wiki thing a long time ago, were everybody could add information, but that was no option.....

It is a shame that we don't get to hear from the owners of this webiste much, i've always wondered why that is, i think they don't like to publicize who owns the site, i often wondered if thats because of fear of copyright claims, although i think you could get away with fair use for the pictures under the critical review rule, possibly.

I guess the owners of the site no longer have the time to update this site and to enable the members to contribute would probably mean either spending a fortune on a new admin system to give certain rights to members or alternatively trusting someone with admin rights, would you let some stranger/s look after your baby while you where away?

I think thats why we have this situation, thats my guess anyway.
To be honest i wish i could find a decent open source database/indexing system, if i could i'd be happy to setup a new member based site like RA or give free webspace to someone wanting to...

If anyone knows of an easy to use system like RA which we could use to setup a site then please make suggestions...

I guess wikki would be the obvious choice but it isn't very easy on the eye and not specifically for indexing things.

Does anyone know what system Roots archives uses??? i often wondered this and searched many times for the answer, and for something similar but have yet to find anything that works well.

One cannot help but feel a little abandoned by the web masters. I wonder what happened?
The soul-archives page doesn't seem to be there either; and it was announced for june 2008.
Using the search-function i recognised that Seb didn't do a single post within the last year..hope he is well!

I think they are probably just having a break catching their breath. I can imagine R-A is quite weary to run.

they clearly said they wanted to move to something else. The forum and data base are still active, that's fine with me.

Even if there hasn't been an update the last months it is still the page for me to discover new things on and on. Great project, thanks and respect!
