It's definitely a medicine with proper dosage to be considered. One small toke once every long while makes me feel great. Anymore than that and I freak out, too.

A few weeks ago I smoked too much and I was lying in bed grinding my teeth and squeezing my girlfriend's hand. Super Ape didn't sound good at the moment, and I was having paranoid thoughts of what others were saying about me at my own funeral. Then, all of a sudden, I felt all the negative vibes running from the center of my body out towards my fingers and toes, and when they finally dissapated, I was sober.

Even though I felt quite cleansed the next morning, I still haven't smoked since, and I probably won't for another long while.

It intesifies your thoughts, feelings, perception. It intensifies all which is already in you.

Fears would get stronger, even thoghts of death or anything else.

Always a question of the right dose. Less is more. Just a little bit can do a lot. I can´t deal with those heavy 4-gramm-Spliffs....they would shoot me out of space.

A small stick is much better. I smoke sensi pure, without tobacco cause I quit smoking cigaretttes years ago.

One more thing is the quality. There is so much trash around, pls beware. I only smoke when there is a high quality available.

What DB describes is a nice example that you are not the victim of your thoughts and feelings. They come and go. It´s good to know how to send them away.

Anyway, there are more ways for upliftment like meditation.

From what you described you should never touch it again.
The "good" effect that it once may have had for you is no longer there.
You can get the same effect from a few beers or wine.
Cheaper, safer, legal and in moderation beer and wine are healthy products.
I will never smoke again.... it is not worth it on many levels.

That sounds terrible DonBanyan, and I agree with selecta bing that it's no good for you anymore. Personally I have been very sad this past year for irrelevant reasons. I do not seek herb because of my problems, but when I smoke I can resolve any internal struggle in a positive way. When life seems hopeless the meditative state that a few puffs puts me in just fills me with niceness. Spin some records at that point and I'm in complete euphoria.

I do believe there is more and more a problem with Herb and mental and physical health,and the reasons are many.Recreational as opposed to Spiritual.Clean Body,Mind and Spirit.Most herb available in cities being hybrids,manipulated more and more for higher THC values,the first GMO varieties most probably already around .Grown hydroponically in chemical cocktails,under sodium lights powered by nuclear power.Pesticide use on the plants.What has happened to most herb today is very much comparable to the rest of our food system,having lost complete touch with Nature and her organic processes.And being illegal has not helped one bit.So I would believe it to be very naive to put ones head in the sand and call this, Holy Herb !The Great Spirit made no mistake,but people do ! We may always find great inspiration from how people have used the Plants of the Gods in days gone by,but we could hardly imagine their lifestyles being similar with the type of lives we or most of us live today.And the big difference as opposed to foodstuffs,Herb goes to the brain,so keep it clean !

We are not talking about CANCER we are talking about
CANNABIS CAUSES MENTAL ILLNESS.
Which can lead to suicide.
Suicide cannot always be link to one thing, but drug use is a common factor/cause.

ALSO people who smoke GANJA usually smoke Tobbaco or at least have smoked it or used it in their Ganja smoking so we can't pinpoint their death from cancer to smoking Ganja only.
BUT I have no doubt that Ganja can cause lung cancer.

im glad this got mentioned altho it is not really on topic

there is infact not a single death (in the world!) caused by cannabis that has been categorized as such

in that prospective theres more chance you get struck by lightning than by death due to cannabis

VINNIE what I was trying to say is death by Cannabis alone will never be a single reason for someones death from lung cancer because most Ganja smokers also smoke TOBBAC Co.

BUT there is no reason to believe that it is NOT possible.

If someone smoked ONLY Ganja and no TOBBAC Co.
I am sure they COULD get LUNG CANCER too !
( so there IS more chance of death by cancer than lightening strike)

Cannabis will never be RECOGNIZED as the sole "reason" for someones suicide/ death.
BUT it could well be the TRIGGER for their mental illness that lead to their suicide and therefore actually be a / the reason.

it seems the consensus is shifting away from unconditional praise of weed.Thats good, interesting to see the healing of the nation being criticised for the harm it may do.
