Does anyone know or heard of this song, "Fire Dey Town" by Novellette Barnet or Novell Ette Barnett? I could have the artist and song title wrong... but if anyone out there has any information on this song, it would be so great and helpful and truly appreciated! I really want to find this song...

Novlette Russel - Fire De a Town is a Duke Reid prodcution from 1968 ( according to RKR, i dotn know it myself)

I have "I'll rather be lonely" by a Novlette Russell on a nice looking (Jamaican)label called "Unity".No other info I'm afraid.

It's on a High Note 7" Novelette Barnett - Fire De A Town
It sold on ebay a couple months ago for about 80 usd.. nice tune, but imo a little boring / repetitive. most probably late 70s.

Yes, bought the last copy you talk about. The intro is wicked, the voice ruff, the flute quite uncommon. Playing full lenght is a bit long, must agree, little variation in voice and riddim. Still a great tune.
