Just wanted to big up the latest Greensleeves "Reggae Masters" box set showcasing Sugar Minott.
It contains 4 albums on 4 discs
Buy Off The Bar
Rydim
Time Longer Than Rope
Rockers Award Winners (With Leroy Smart)
As far as I know its the first time these have appeared on CD and are all in original album format.
Picked it up for only £8.00 from a well known online site.
So go buy this one and enjoy, you wont be dissapointed.

I think theres a Shabba Ranks,Mighty Diamonds,Cocoa Tea? & afew others. My Lp of Sugars Buy Off the Bar is a pretty crackly pressing, so nice to have a "clean" copy of that.

Re: Sugar Minott - Reggae Legends
I picked up a re-press of the "Buy Off The Bar" LP last year (poorly cut black'n'white photo-copied labels, etc), and it's one of the cleanest and best-sounding re-pressings I've ever heard.
...picked up the 4xCD set yesterday, anyway. Haven't had a chance to check it, but the price was too good to pass up.

I'd only heard a couple of Sugar Minott songs on compilations - but I decided to take the plunge, considering the low price.
I listened to 'Buy Off The Bar' today. Great stuff. I don't remember hearing any of George Phang's productions before - but he's got a nice hard-edged sound.
The title track (basically an ode to getting drunk) is hilarious.
"Drink something soft, the idren them go laugh..."
