6anbatte; Reissues. The originals have a big gem on the cover (and even some of those are reissues).

It seems that some of Vol. II have a black cover that says Vol. II on it contrary to the one you posted where they've just reused the first sleeve.

Love is the Question is a brilliant LP, the riddims pop up all over the place on other Linval productions but they sound so crisp on this one.

Speaking of Mr. Thompson, I finally picked up this one last week, similar session of hard hard steppers...

Hard to say, they are both excellent IMO. I am a bit more familiar with Love is the Question since I've owned it for awhile and the rhythms appear on other stuff I have. Really all of Linval's albums for the Burning Sounds stable are worthwhile, his other vocal LPs like Follow My Heart and Rocking Vibration, Green Bay Dub, the Mystic Eye record he produced, Al Campbell's Diamonds...I just never get tired of it!
