Reggae Radio & Podcast Stations

Post by Ron »

I thought it might be a good idea to make a 'sticky' thread that lists all available (and interesting) radiostations and podcasts.
I have copied and pasted all links from the other (now closed) thread below.
If you see your station and you want a description with the link, please let me know by *PM* and I'll be happy to add it.
So far I have these (all additions are welcome, again by PM)

[Big Mikey Dread Reggae Radio](http://bigmikeydread.podomatic.com)
*Podcasts of Bigmikeydread's Radio Show. Big Mikey Dread aka Mike Murphy plays Jamaican Music from the 1950s to the Present day. Mento, Ska, Rocksteady, Early Reggae, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, Modern Roots, Ragga and a whole heap more, including informative chat and enthusiastic sillyness.*

[Ring The Alarm](http://podcast.upsetter.net)
*Ring The Alarm is not another sound dying, but a lot of sounds getting together and having a party. This podcast is mainly reggae and dub, but don't be surprised to find cats like Eddie Cochran, Link Wray, Le Tigre, James Brown, The Clash and many others on the playlists. As Nietzsche once said, "Without music, life is an error."*

[New Romantic Radio](http://newromantic.blogg.se/category/spellistor.html)
*A reggae radio program broadcast in Stockholm every second Sunday. The hosts, Joakim Romantic and Jah Pockets, focus on rose garden rub-a-dub and late 70's to early 80's roots. The presenters speak Swedish but the music is reggae gone international!*

[Balaganjah](http://balaganjah.podomatic.com)
*Weekly reggae sets from Yigal Ganjah Vibes & Barak Skunkride - each set recorded live straight from vinyl.
Roots, Dub, Ska, Rocksteady, Rockers, Steppers, Rub A Dub, UK Roots, Digital & more...*

*Kfm 106.9 has been broadcasting a quality sound for a discerning ear for the last six years which fuzes reggae, dub, downbeat, lounge, soul and funk. Kfm 106.9 is a low frequency station which promotes social consciousness and genres not championed by our mainstream counterparts.*

http://www.azevedo.ca/scratch
*Scratch Radio has been broadcasting since March, 2000.
The format ranges from late-1950s mento & Jamaican-boogie into 1960s ska, through the rocksteady years and on to reggae and dub. There is no rap or hip-hop in the playlist - just some fine toasting from the likes of Prince Jazzbo, U-Roy and Big Youth (to name a few).*

*Roots, Dub, Early Dancehall and Modern Reggae*

http://soulshake.podomatic.com
*An ongoing dedication to the golden era of Jamaican music. From mid-60s to early-80s, the vast majority of the music here is from original vinyl, collected and compiled with care from my personal collection. No talking or artistic mixes, simply running tune-to-tune to allow the genius of this music to take center stage.*

*Broadcasting from Herzliya, Israel, This program is part of the Campus radio station Radio IDC (106.4FM in central region, Israel). Every week Benja is taking you on a one hour long journey throughout reggae music.*
