big youth

big youth is great. but the only thing I even have by him is the 3 cd blood and fire comp. Do I really need anything else? I haven't taken the time to compare the track lists to his other albums. What do you think? Recommendations beyond that giant compilation?

the best comp of jah youth to me is "ride light lightning" (trojan, a few years back). wicked front cover, wicked selection - not as complete as the B&F but at the end of the day, probably deeper.

"Screaming Target" is a must and is readily available on CD with some great bonus material on the 2006 Trojan release.

Also "Dread Locks Dread" is pretty good and also available on CD.

My personal favorie is "Progress" which is a brilliant album, unfortunately, as far as I know, this has never been releases on CD.

The dub version "Reggae Gi Dem Dub" is also worth finding.

Thanks! I definitely want more, just trying to reduce the amount of overlap I get. I have a hard time remembering song titles, so when I look at the track lists I can't tell right away if I'll be getting duplicates, or even if I already have the tunes.

But I guess any reggae collector is used to getting lots of duplicates!
