Who's singing on the version behind Charlie Chaplin "Jamaican Collie" ??
I can tell it's a remake of the '100 POUNDS of collie' line, but with TONS instead...
Is this wicked fast paced riddim available elsewhere? What is the "non-original" singing version?
BTW, this version is produced by Roy Cousin on Tamoki Wambesi.

Re: A Hundred TONS of collie...
Greetings Maheek,
Charlie Chaplin does his dj piece to 'I Shen Galore', a tune by Winston Jarrett. Winston's version is on the album 'Wise Man':
[cover=187,200]
I know that Cornell Campbell did his version of the tune. I'm not sure who did the original.

Was it the Royals singing the original vocal Quarter Pound of Ishen? On the Pick up the Pieces riddim? Its a fast riddim and the Royals were in the Roy Cousins stable along with Charlie Chaplin..on right label two
