crepsoles /herman chin loy track
can anyone help with info about band called The Crepsoles who did a track called "Invasion". I have it on a ska compilation, though i wouldnt describe the tune at all as ska ,more like early dub such as you might find on the Aquarius dub lp. Is invasion the dub side and if so what was on the flip?where can I find more by the mysterious Crepsoles?

Aren't they usually refereed to as Crepe Souls??
I have them on this LP doing LEt It Be Me (1st song in the pic). If you notice, the 4th tune is "Invasion" by Agustus Pablo, so maybe it's mis-credited on the comp.

Re: crepsoles /herman chin loy track
Orriginally Augustus Pablo was a made-up name that Herman Chin Loy (Aquarius Records) sometimes used for instrumental songs (He also used Herman Chin-Loy & The Aquarians)
After one of those songs became a hit (Java)in the early 70s, the young melodica player Horace Swaby who played on that hitsong made the name his own.
So there are many early (Pre Java)Aquarius instrumentals that are credited to Augustus Pablo, but are not Horace Swaby, but ion fact could be any instrumentalist that recorded in Aquarius

Think it's more expensive than rare.
