Yes, Micheal Campbell, the Jamaican one is also known as: Mikey Dread or Dread At The Control.

He is the one who voiced the Deep Roots documentary, I think (to be confirmed tho').

The third one, the sound system operator, started with King Edward sound system. of course he gain his fame with the Channel One UK sound sytem... Didn't mention this one because I don't think his name is Michael Campbell. The only link with the M Campbell we discuss here is the nick name he choosed.

in the 80s radio leeds had a guy named mikey dreadlocks who put out a show on a monday night for 2 hours, it was ok..just to add to the confusion

The voice on the deep roots music is indeed Mikey dread,as far i can recall it was also announced during the series.( credits )he has a very particular voice.

It was Mikey DATC Dread Campnell who did the voice overs for the docos you refer to.

Campbell is a very common name in JA, there are many Michael Campbells, as mentioned Mikey Dread the reggae artist who started out as a DJ with his own show in Jamaica who is refered to as, Dread At The Controls(DATC)

Then there is also Mikey Dread of Channel One sound system UK, also known as BIG Mikey Dread but he hasn't passed away has he?? i saw him maybe 2-3yrs ago.

Not familiar with the others but i am sure there are many more mikey dreads in ther reggae business, but the most famous is DATC mikey dread who passed away of a brain tumor, he is the original Mikey Dread who voiced those films u mention.
