Actually Junjo used High Times our of necessity, as the Radics refused to work for him over royalty disputes on the Greensleeves dub LPs. They felt that they were entitled to more than the regular session fee. Very often The Radics continued to get credit for sessions for those done by High Times, who as you have pointed out were a fine band in their own right.Nohay wrote:ROOTS RADICS===> best band of all time.
I love High times too. To answer, this group was created by chinna. This band was an alternative in 80's. Because the radics have mashed up totally in 80-82. After that producer needs another band to record some riddims because the radics were busy evrytime. So junjo (and others) needs high times band.

IMO about 50% of credits on reggae records are wrong or incomplete.
Loads of politics involved (between producers and musicians)
That's my point of view after listening closely to music and talking to the actual musicians who were there.

aggrovators...revolutionaries
as much as i like the sly/robbie combo, i also love the carlton/aston combo
and i am a chinna fan
btw, i like the ethnic fight band...but apparently those records are blends of backing bands.

Nice call. A great, fluid guitarist who may not get his due because he is based in the U.K. instead of JA. He is superb.
