hi wareika, the matrix is not a Celluloid matrix. I cannot find the record right now (too messy :)) but I remember it was not CEL... and quite hard to read in the white wax.

If I recall correctly, the original studio 16 release has a sleeve in white + red.
Anyway....it´s a nice and tuff dub set.
Enjoy this loud!
Yes, me too remember the original Studio 16 release in a red cover.
But to be really correct: the original first press was on FAY in 1976, while the Studio 16 release was a repress from 1978.

The absolute first press of the album didn't even have a proper sleeve but instead some great liner notes by Carl Gayle glued on a blank sleeve.

I've had this Lp on it's original Studio 16 press for years and think it's highly unexceptiona, never understood what the fuss is about...

I agree that it's not a whole wicked LP, some parts are quite weak but there is also some serious dub tunes. But yes, not the best King Tubby LP for sure !

(1) original press was UK - Fay music FM307 with title written in large print on the label but no track listing. The cover was a plain white one with an article by Carl Gayle from Black Music pasted on to it - ie looks like a hand made job

(2) 2nd issue also on Fay Music had same master cut number on vinyl(FM307) but a complete "official" printed cover and label both with titles - label on this one suggests it was released in 1976
