Where can this great tune be found on?
This is the version I'm looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkoUpfRBhJU
Is it reissued on LP? Or single?
SKA!
PS: On which label was it released originally? Coxsone? Studio 1?

Re: Don Drummond - Last Call - reissue?
I've got it on original studio one with the "hanging mic" label (blue and white) which i think is the 1st labelled press but more commonly it comes on a ja blank (presumably the 1st press)strangely not one they ever seem to have reissued on 7"...but it has been bootlegged a few years ago (in the uk i think?) with the even rarer wailers tune "rock sweet rock" on the other side. not a brilliant press though. you might still find it lurking somewhere!

Thanks - but is the Last Call "100 years later" LP version the same as the one from the youtube clip? I listened to it on a onlineshop, and it sounded different, I was not sure if it was maybe a later relick. Otherwise they maybe got the tracknumbers twisted.davek wrote:http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2340

Thanks! So the original 45 will be pretty rare and expensive I guess? I'll try to get original or bootleg. I need this tune - it's brilliant.Perilous wrote:I've got it on original studio one with the "hanging mic" label (blue and white) which i think is the 1st labelled press but more commonly it comes on a ja blank (presumably the 1st press)strangely not one they ever seem to have reissued on 7"...but it has been bootlegged a few years ago (in the uk i think?) with the even rarer wailers tune "rock sweet rock" on the other side. not a brilliant press though. you might still find it lurking somewhere!

Last Call is also on this one:

I think it's "slowed" down a little from the YouTube clip.

the brentford all stars tune and the don drummond tune are two different songs, fyi. both killer.

yep goes for silly money these days! £150 upwards..
skunky soul jazz released the instrumental of the brentford all star cut but left off the MIGHTY dub cut (of which there are many dangerous mixes out there..) missed a trick there! there's a next slower heavier mix of the dubplate also on "tribute to peckings" studio 1 LP.
