Black Uhuru's Dub Tune To "Time To Unite"

Post by kandi »

R.Archivers,
Does black uhuru have a dub tune to "Time to unite" in its original rockers (stepper) style and not as remixed by jammy in "Uhuru In Dub"?I wonder why jammy had to remix it inna dancehall style.Am forced to play that tune with dub to "Jah Love is sweeter" by L Castell just to fulfill my desire.

After looking through the liner notes on the album a few times and checking Amazon reviews to see were I read this I found it was on EBreggae.coms review of the Black Sounds of Freedom deluxe edition.

3 full length albums on a 2 CD set. Includes the first Black Uhuru album "Love Crisis" (1977), plus the remixed version of that album (released as "Black Sounds of Freedom" in 1981), plus the dub album the corresponds to the Black Sound of Freedom album (the dub album is called "Prince Jammy Presents Uhuru In Dub", released 1981). Just so you know, the dub album to the "Love Crisis" album is called "Prince Jammy In Lion Dub Style" and is still on LP only.

I have not heard it personaly. And you can check the sound samples at Ernie B's just search this.

Prince Jammy - In Lion Dub Style

Sorry I can't check it for you to see if the particular song you are looking for is on the album. But I really dislike compareing diffrent versions of the same track.
