Re: Looking for song/lyrics to old 80's Reggae song
Hi all, I've been searching a an early 80s reggae song for years now.I don't know the group singing or the title of song but know all the words. It starts:-
'you and me together...you and me forever....
its so long we've been together girl, sharing more love with each other...no matter what the folks may say...I love you more and more each day now...let them know you're a big girl now...they can't choose for you no more, oh no oh no...I know that they don't really understand...that you're a part of my future plan...with the love we share my dear...stick by me and have no fear... (chorus)I'm gonna build my world around you...with all my love and all days through...its you for me and me for you baby... we'll live together eternallyyyyyyy now.
Please someone help with the name of song and/or singer/group. I really appreciate your help

Trying to find this old culture song.. that really moved me when I was a kid. The lyrics go:
"I want to know about the many many millions of my people, that went down down down to the bottom of the deep blue sea.
I want to know about the many many millions of black people, that went down down down to the bottom of the deep blue sea.
The ships and their soldiers were counting blood money.. (can't remember the middle but).
It was down in the shadow of the Thames where I heard the voice of my father singing... oh you wicked men, oh you wicked men... where you a defend where you a defend".

Try "Pomp and Pride" by Toots and the Maytalls...Vavee wrote:Hi.
I'm looking for this 80's reggae song/artist but I few lyrics. I think I remember the beginning starting like this: Ahhhh, Ahhhh, Ahhhh, Ah. Every posse now, come down, come down, come down, come down. I'm not sure, but I think it's two people singing the song. Thanks for any help you can give.
"Everybody just cry now, cry out, calm down, calm down...."
Might be it

That's the group Ovationz and the tune is called "Forever Love", on the album "Rockers Vibration" (DATC) / various artists. Still available on many websites.

also looking please help with song "Junkie-master"
Help somebody! I am also looking for an old raggae song/ songs my friend had on rape. I'm not sure who it was drom or who it was done by but I remember the lyrics-
"other day, I went ro the worksite to check out my dread friends, natty dread "a-di ganja man" (and they'd say their positions)..."kinko dread,,,a-di main supervisor", nadi cinco dread a-di paymaster...then it would be the main chorus: a lalala the junkie master....da da da da to make your ears full of plaster...da da da da da di junkie master.
I have had raggae stores in the N.E. Bronx (little Kingston) look it up. One time I thought that I had found it in a record store but it was another version with singing like it was done and junkiemaster was not spelled the same. I have been looking for that jam for i'd say 20 years. I wished I wasnt so burnt and took the time to ask Glenn who sung it. Please help out if you know...
Lady M I am not sure of yours it does not sound familiar but good luck
tall order being off of a toy!
