i think Garnet Silk did a song 'Oh Mama' or something, not sure if thats the song title, goes like:
'Oh Mama you can depend on mi now....'

there's loads of songs dedicated to Mothers in reggae...

Linton Kwesi Johnson also talks about Mama in 'Sonny's Lettah' if i remember rightly and he is talking not singing.
