Anybody have any more info on this album / artist? I saw that Deadly Dragon had it listed for 60 dollars, which seems a bit steep. I've heard a few cuts from it and liked the bits i heard (the title track on the 'wreck a pum pum' riddim for example), but is it really that hard to find / valuable?
I know that pricing when it comes to vinyl is pretty subjective, but I'm curious to see if others on the forum owned it and would really recommend it as a classic... any input appreciated... cant find any reference to Lyrical on roots archive, and not a whole lot online either... were there any singles, or just this album?

Re: Lyrical - "Market Session"
I have the album. Think I paid around $35 for it. I love it, also love Ugliman's album and many of the Harry J-produced tunes of this period. I would recommend it, although don't pay 60 bucks for it...
When you say "were there any singles", I am not completely sure what you mean. From this album? Or, by the same producer but not on the album? Or any by Lyrical? In any case, the answer to all 3 is yes. He recorded for Dennis Star, Kesta, Witty and others, besides Harry J. Don't think there are any other albums though.
I guess the reason you don't see anything about him on this site is because he doesn't fit into the "1970-85" limits. (The album is from '86).
By the way Doc, I am in dire need of some Giant Aquatic Brazilian Centipede... Do you know where I can score some?

Hey Ninjadon-
Thanks for the info, and although I'm all out of giant aquatic brazilian centipede, lets just say "i know a man who can..."
If you could point me towards a Lyrical singles discography of any kind online - I havent been able to find anything myself - I'd totally appreciate it. At least then I'll know what to look out for. I am also a big fan of the Uglyman album. I'll hold off of grabbing the Lyrical album and wait until I find it at a better price - I appreciate the advice on that.
