Can anyone help with an old tape of mine?

I know it's only a wrecked old tape and probably made by no one very well known but I've had this recording for 20 years or more and always loved it, it's tweaked out sci fi synth fx and r2r spinbacks just blow my mind every time.

It's a long shot but does anyone recognise who might have done the mixing/dubbing? the track is "Baby" by the Heptones, but this dubbing was either done live by a DJ or maybe by a radio station, they may have used the same dubbing on other records as well or perhaps (I'm hoping) it might have dubbed in a studio and maybe even released on a record?

If anyone thinks they know it or they've heard similar please let me know, any info at all would be really helpfull.

is that really the heptones singing that? i heard another verison of them doing this tune but don't recognize this one personally.

The effects sound like a frequency generator with some reverb, possibly...

Probably a pirate radio station broadcast....
