Coldplay Fix You reggae version

Post by jules27 »

Does anyone know a reggae cover / remix of Coldplay's Fix You please? Don Letts played it at Womad at the weekend, also a version of Tracy Chapman's Fast Car (not the Wayne Wonder one).

Thanks, peace & love

Yeah mate, I was there for that

I think it was the dualers, there's a few live versions on youtube.

If you find the TC cover let me know!

Cheers

I think the fast car cover might be foxy brown. I was pretty smashed at the time though!

Thanks so much - sure you're right on both counts. Don't know why I couldn't find them! Horace Andy was good too ...

Yeah loved Horace. he was a bit too keen on the old rewinds though!!

good sites when your hunting for covers are "whosampled" and "discogs".

If you come across a decent version of his version of the big wheel let me know. I found some but not with the same break behind them.

Thanks again, those sites are awesome. I kinda like the rewind thing - so nice you have to play it twice - but it depends on the mood (!) you're in I think. Did you catch one other song, can't remember at what point over the weekend I heard it but the chorus was "Times like these ... ". Sounded familiar but no luck on itunes, spotify, amazon etc Great Womad I thought, been a bit wet/flat/musically uninteresting last few years but it all came together this year for us anyway

Best Womad ever? Burning Spear headlining. Also one on the beach in Cornwall (may or may not have been the same one). Talk of Bob Dylan next year which is fine by me
