The Good , The Bad and The Upsetters

Post by AnorakTrev »

I know this is out of Roots Archives time frame , but just a heads-up to let you know this has been released on CD ! This album is so hard to pick up in decent condition without having to pay an arm and a leg , this is also good news for the non-vinylites out there .

My pre-ordered copy arrived (tu)
It`s on a Sanctuary subsidiary SPECTRUM - SPECORIG1005 .
Sound quality superb !! ( Trawl around and you can get it for about £4.00 )

Hammond overdrive .....:D

Actually, its not that rare and not that superb. I was actually quite dissapointed with the album when I first heard it, then I found out it had no Perry involvement.

Here is the real deal:

Rarity isn`t the issue here ! Condition is . I am more than aware that Perry wasn`t involved , he had beggared off back to Jamaica when this was recorded .

I never said that the album you have given us as a link to was not Perry`s , which was pressed up on his Upsetter label .

Hi Trev

As you can see, you are wasting your time trying to give people the heads up on CD`s / albums that you consider to be good musically or value wise.

From my recent experiences here people don`t appreciate the input and have usually got some negative or condescending to say about the item in question.

Stick to giving the Heads up in PM`s to those you know will consider the information worthy.

To the rest Trev, you are just risking a musical slap down.

Hi Dave

I don`t mind getting a musical slapdown . As you so rightly say , this was a head`s-up for those that can`t afford ridiculous ebay prices .

Fancy having a fight in the school playground ? :D

Take care .... Trevor ;)

Put me in pm if you are only going to do it that way but I hope not.

Thanks for the heads up AnorakTrev. It's good that the bad reply didn't upset you.

Looks like some tracks in common with the Upsetters A Go-
Go CD on Heartbeat: http://www.roots-archives.com/release/1944

Not pure Scratch but still a fun listen. I wonder if the new release has anything not on A Go-Go.

@ vtov ,

I`ve got a copy of Upsetter A Go-Go , and found the tracks had been tampered with , by Glen Adams , far too much .

The CD in question has exactly the same tracks as [cover=1379,1588]

The reply of the VISITOR was not so bad as some might feel now.
It is just an information and a personal opinion, which must be allowed to post.
I think this is great misunderstanding.
