I know that psychiatrists believe that weed is very potent and really toxic too, truly its no fun when you see the men running around mental hospitals attacking others all due to the poisonous effects of mary jane.True though, innit?

Plenty of boys ( and girls ) of all races use Ganja to "get wasted "

also MENTAL ILLNESS is a major problem world wide and there are millions of people and it is increasing.
Of course not all from Ganja but it is a cause.

i disagree and say that the herb is not the cause but rather no more than a possible catalyst for those who are predisposed.
it is interesting that the substances lsd and exstacy are both linked to causing mental issues but have also been used in "fixing" mental issues such as schizophrenia.

The debate on cannabis causing schizophrenia is not conclusive, if it was there would be millions of schizophrenics because there are millions of smokers true?

if you read previous posts it mentions that herb can/could trigger a psychose with people (who have tendency of) having mental problems.
So 1 mil smokers = 1 mil schizophrenics is very simplistic and ofcourse not correct
i wonder what made you to conclude this...

Iam a person who never smoked drugs or inhaled illegal substance. I am both bi-polar and have PTSD, tested at severe levels.I suffered the most co-dependent, addictive of all marriages--I married a man intent on distruction of all growth including himself. He is entirely as I am bessed, despite having tried to make his life managable-- he is one that has lost all meaning and directions--altho the constant theme throughout himself lacks life that he has never had the courage to admit to having "issues".

I, on the other hand, am totally committed to having as meaningful as possible a life. Through direct invention of a tangle of great pain I have had the constant and never-ending support of long-term relations. Without the support of friends, both female and male, life as I know it would not be feasible.I was born to serve people and continue to do so.I now have the task to coming to my true self. It might take a while as my only son died of heart failure at 35, and my only daughter has cancer which mat not be treatable. I my trumatic brain injury so severe two years ago--it is amazing I can talk, read, and write within limited means.Even walking after so much intensive and complete life support was a huge challenge.

To my knowlege ( I'm in my 50's and my ex-husband is in his 60's) the very concept of mental issues and pot confuses me. I can't get the connection between self-induced life choices, such as mine, to pot-induced mental illness. Come on, give me a break!

Big up to all , i think marihuana is causing me paranoia. I will tell you what happening to me, yesterday i went to a soundsystem here in my country , i went alone , all was ok until i smoke weed.After i smoked ganja , i feel very paranoid and pursued , i feel that everybody was looking at me (and others bad thougs), this parnaoia was very powerfull so i had to leave the place.Without marihuana i dont have any problem to go alone , but marihuana put me on a paranoid state and i feel only bad vibez. Dont know what could be ,maybe, ¿this is causing me " mental illness" ?

maybe it is the weed, like some of the others in this thread, the effect changes with age. you should put it off for a while and see how you react later when you do it again, if you want, and make a judgement for yourself

Yes, of course is the marihuana what is causing me that effect , but my queastion is why?. Many of here thinks that ganja amplifies your feelings , but why i only feel pain and get paranoid when i smoked? and not when i didnt smoke?
