Well, Warning is very fine digital stylee. Gregory's voice is not too damaged. And the lyrics, although not exceptional, are solid.

You got to check

GREGORY ISAACS "Private Lesson" album (blue cover)
90's but strictly roots...

It contains "Sad Mood Tonight"

most tracks are killer, "Sad Mood Tonight" gives you an idea of how the whole album sounds, laid back, easy skanking roots, it contains nice re-workings of "Mr Know It All" and "Slave Master"

Give it a try, nice album considering the date it was released.

I personally love the Tubby late 80's style of mixing and the instrumentation of 'Warning' and the deep basslines that rumble along under the tunes, awesome LP!

Favourite tracks: 'Warning' and 'Let Me Be The One'

I like "Gregory In Red." 1989. Tappa Records. One or two "sleepers" (a soul ballad even), but otherwise not too bad. Voice beginning to show strain, but he does sing with conviction. Some nice Riddims too. I don't own the vinyl though, just an mp3 rip (from the Great Rasdragon), because I got burned on ebay, that's another story...Thank you people for examples to check...

I think Gregory's digital output is aging like great wine, totally under rated. Lots of avergae stuff post 80's but the good stuff is top notch.

Please continue listing the killer post Gussie stuff. I'll start with 4 killers:
