I am not a believer in general, because believing is not knowing so it makes no sense but i must say that politics and police and all of those wikkid people do not seem a regular human beeing to me, they favor clones. and they have no souls. yeh, maybe aliens look like that I don't know, one thing I know for sure that I&I can't breath free and they are the ones who hold we down.
thanks for that link, kal. fascinating to hear jr reid's take on the mundell murder. also interesting is i just read an interview with augustus pablo in the latest issue of waxpoetics (reggae issue, with pablo on cover) where he says he was in the car also. reid doesn't mention pablo in this piece.

How many guns were in JA back in those days? How many murders? With the high proportion of musicians in the island it shouldnt be unprobable a most common cause than CIA. Who in the CIA cares a little about King Tubby or Mundell?

The story I heard is that PFI cleaned some political graffiti (or a gang tag, or something) off the wall of his house and got shot because this pissed someone off.
On a Tosh note i noticed in reading a book lately that Tosh's mother's name was Alvira Coke now if i am not wrong thats the last name of Chris Duddus Coke who's been in the news because of his extradition to the USA an all that. I wondered in reading about this if it he Tosh was a relation to this family and maybe there was something about this link that may have been a factor in his senseless murder. Pretty far fetched but stranger things can and do happen. As it was at about the time of his murder that the Shower Poss was locating and taking over a fair percentage of the drugs market internationaly coincedince maybe.
Sometimes these things are just better not known, because they can't be easily understood. The art that they left us is really all that we need, anything else is celebrity conjecture and gossip that detracts from it.
How true those words are Davek its just something that i mulled over a few days back. But with the amount of Guns brought to Jamroc from the late 70's onwards its no big suprise to see so many of the people who had such great pasts and even brighter futures go by the wayside from the voilence and the gun slingers who i guess had no options in such a hostile environ but to take up arms as others around them are doing the same thing. A shame indeed.
