Calling Rastafari, Wiser Dread & Knotty Vision on CD

Post by Rootsman »

Just got a question regarding these 3 compilations.

I have had the "Calling Rastafari" on CD for a long time but have never looked for the other 2 as I was of the impression they have never been issued on CD.

Today I was up London and found "Wiser Dread" on a proper Nighthawk issued CD (Nighthawk CD301).

This leads me to ask, has "Knotty Vision" also been released on CD?

These are 3 superb compilations and I would love to have the set.

Thanks

Hi Ital kemar

This is definately a Nighthawk CD with a catalogue number CD301.

The only date on the disc is the original 1981 release date with writing that says "All Times (C) 1981 All rights reserved, Unauthorised Duplication prohibited.

It has the Nighhawk logo in Red with the writing in Green.

On the disc and on the spine of the CD is states the title as "Wizer Dread" as opposed to "Wiser Dread".

The front and back covers are identical to the album and has exact same track list as the album.

Looks prety pucker to me

Hi,

Is the CD edition a legit issue? I could not find the CD anywhere either. Did you buy it at Dub Vendor? I'd love to order a copy.

Thanks in advance.

This makes me hopeful.

I have been looking for Wiser Dread - An an album I bought in the mid 80's (and cherished), but which but lost in a basement flood many years ago. Is this the same: with 'In a Dis Ya Time', Arab's Oil Weapon, etc.? And do you know where I might get a copy?

Please help!

Hi Down Babylon

Yes, it is one and the same, the CD contains exact same tracks and runs in the same play order as the original album.
