Has anyone picked up the CD and can give me aot of feedback as to quality of the sound and music.
The sounds clips I have listened to dont really give the impression of it being that great.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
no problem with the sound and/or music, story behind it is even better (or sadder). You should read the review at reggae-vibes.com.
Regards,
Gozer

Cheers Gozer
Thanks for the heads up, I have just read the reviews and ordered the CD too.
I only really know 3 of his tracks "Backra Massa", "Crying Time" and "Shoulder to Jah Wheel" all excellent tracks an are included on the CD so that makes it a good purchase.

If you get a chance check out Kingman(Claudius Linton)& Jonah(Ian Jones)- Sign Time CD, it was recorded at the same time as the Roots Master set and is a great modern Roots CD Ian Jones is the bloke who helped with Claudius to get the Roots Master CD out into the world.

Don't think that's quite correct Karl. The "Roots Master" CD is a compilation of tunes recorded over a period of several years. There's a good review here:

"Sign Time" on the other hand is a contemporary recording, as you say, produced by Ian Jones.

It arrived yesterday, wicked CD with great sound and well presented in a nice gatefold sleeve which was nice.
Also the music is superb, real roots music by a superb roots singer from the GOLDEN AGE of real reggae
Highly recommend this one.

Good to hear that you like it, Dave.
The second CD, Sign Time, is IMO not as good as this one but if you like his voice you should give it a try.
