Re: Twelve Tribes of Israel LP reissued?
Id rather say a big stock was found. Ive bought one of those copies and the cover is clearly 30 years old, you cant recreate a thing like the use of time on cardboard! At least, Im certain the one I bought is not a recent repress. Apparently they were pressed in the early-mid 80s.

I met the producer from the 12 tribes album in Ethiopia (at least he said he was) and he assured me that it was pressed in 1985, that would confirm litelet's idea.

I bought a copy off ebay two years ago for $300+ and i'm pretty sure it is a bootleg. If you smell the cardboard it smells like a repress. Might sound strange, but if you've been collecting for a while, you can tell the difference between repress and original press.
it's too bad people do this to their brotherman

Re: Twelve Tribes of Israel LP reissued?
anyone has a final word on this...
OLD STOCK?
REPRESS?
I figured out that if they sold 300 copies at 50 USD a piece (prior to a middle man then going on Ebay to get an additional premium), that's 15000 USD. Not bad.

Re: Twelve Tribes of Israel LP reissued?
Well Vlad I say old stock I have a copy and can tell the difference after 24 years of collecting between repress and original it is at least 20-30 years old. My cover is far from mint, the outersleeve paper isnt new and the vinyl isnt very good quality and can be compared to 80 jamaican vinyl not bad all the way but has its flaws.
But it is black vinyl and not the dark pruple one. Which also exists. But that sais nothing. Only that they had different runs.
Also they become more scares again the stock that was found on Jamaica wasnt much more than 50-100 pieces. In my opinion.

But on the other hand it sais nothing the sleeves could be old stock sleeves the labels fake or old labels and the vinyl still isnt great at jamaica because of the temperature over there. But I received my copy slightly warped so they did allot of trouble made it look original. That doenst make sense for guys making a big buck there is always something that gives it away. And that isnt simply there.
