An example of strange vinyl experience...

in late 70's/80's, many selectors or collectors put their name on label...

One year ago, i've bought an original copy of ART&CRAFT 12" with a name writing on labels. The seller is in england.

Two month ago i've bought an orignal 7" in USA. The same name have been writing on labels. After a long travel, those discs are together...

I bought once the Wailing Souls' "wild Suspens" LP on Mango. A side was OK but B side played Aswad live set on Mango too!

Also a kinda strange/funny vinyl related experience:

Me and my girl riding the tube in Cologne (Germany) with some reggae vinyl I just bought in a 2nd hand record shop. A couples sees the records and is totally surprised (I mean really astonished) that there are still vinyl shops and that some people actually still buy it.

This was happening in the year 1999 :-)

Just got Big Youth Chi Chi Run re-press, the shop keeper said it came from JA as a repress.

Really nicely packaged to look like you have the original LP (i.e. the label on the record is chewed up a bit as if its been played a lot, and its 'stamped' prince buster's record shack on the sleave)

Just put it on my record player to burn it to the PC and side one gets stuck over and over towards the end of side one it seems to get stuck constantly, as soon as you bump it out it get stuck again

Be taking it back to the store On Saturday for a refund

could be your needle or turntable as well. Got some 1970s Studio One records that skip/bump on my old turntable but play fine on my new one.
