THANKS!

I recently noticed that Rico Rodriguez is a part of Jools in-house band. Saw some show at my parents house and was flabbergasted to see one of my all time favorite artists sitting among the musicians.

I was at the filming of this. It was at a venue on Red Hills Rd (I forget the name) and Volcano was commissioned to play, strictly for the TV show. It was a dance, with the set to the left of the stage, but the performers were all filmed on stage. Each one did only a couple of songs, and a few were shot twice. Massive Dread was great in his jockey outfit, as was Eek A Mouse (as always....).

There was a swimming pool outside, and Jools & team were walking around doing interviews with people. I would really like to see this one, partially to see if I am in it, but mainly because it was such a fun night, and unfortunatelty many of these entertainers are no longer with us. My wife took a few rolls of film, so we have lots of pictures of the event. But I would love to see the finished video product.

If anyone has this trade, please let me know, I have lots to trade in return.

Yes, indeed. I would love to see this also.
It seems more and more video/film footage is surfacing - be it ever so slowly but so often it is recycled material used in too many documentaries.
It would be great to see some 'fresh' documentary material of that time - or indeed any time period in JA music.
Free up the music!

It is available in bits and pieces on You Tube:

Was just participating in a thread on a jazz site, about Mike "Bammy "Rose who played with Jools'Band,Rico's Band, with Paul Simon,Cymande,Aswad and plenty more.A great musician with very little recognition.Must have a look if he also plays on this footage.
