Blood & Fire's *Children Of Jah*. IMO, this compilation contains everything that is good and wonderful about reggae.

I think the best reggae compilation ever was Trojan's original Rebel Music, compiled by Dave Hendley circa 1979, a real revelation. The later revamp was arguably even better, but the original landed at the right time.

I'd agree with that, a great compilation released at just the right time and still not beaten, the "Keep The Pressure Down", which I think was compiled by Chris Lane is also excellent.Sir Bellyas wrote:I think the best reggae compilation ever was Trojan's original Rebel Music, compiled by Dave Hendley circa 1979, a real revelation. Going way back to when i first started discovering reggae for myself, the 'Countryman' soundtrack is without equal IMHO. Bob Marley remixes, Rico, Human Cargo, Toots, Bunny, Steel Pulse, Aswad and more...

great set indeed ! picked up mine about 2 years ago. the 1979 release Got a nice fold out sleeve with a poster and tracklist inside. The 1989 re-release don't have that, just a normal sleeve set.Sir Bellyas wrote:I think the best reggae compilation ever was Trojan's original Rebel Music, compiled by Dave Hendley circa 1979, a real revelation.
