Identify this lyrics please?

Post by Temin »

Hello, I have an old tape with some music I don't know where it come from.
I have tried to search on this lyrics on several lyric finders and search engines with no luck. I am not familiar with the singer. The chorus is repeted like this:
"We want human rights and equality" 4 times
Mandela is mentioned in the lyrics i can recall.

I've been trying to find this for about 20 years -
I just rolled tape from KKUP the day Mandela was released.

"We want human rights and equality"
"Some have none, some too much
It ain't right - what a calamity"

ANYBODY?!

I have a song by Ijahman Levi on tape but with poor quality not worthy of converting to MP3 and i also need the name of it so i can buy the MP3 version. it goes something like this,
"----Why, cant black people be free oh jah, why, all over the world they are in captivity, tell it the leaders of nations of the league of nations, we want freedom from black slavery .......----"we want freedom, for nelson Mandela inna south Africa, Sunshine all over the land,... "

This is one of the best classic reggae songs by Ijahman Levi and if you know the song I'm talking about then you'll agree and hook me up with extra info on where to get it. Thank you
