Who is Principal?

Anyone know about the man Principal? I can't find any information at all. The only tune if his I've heard is Answer on A Dee-Jay Explosion LP, which is also the only tune RA shows.

Principal is also known as "Principal Grundy". He used to DJ occassionally on Stur-Gav Hi-Fi in the early 80s. No idea what he has been up to these days.

Yes, one in same. He did a few for Gibbs. But his most known track may be his toast on Black Uhuru's "Rent Man" 12".

Tron, Chaplin was also known as "Principal", but they are two entirely different people.

I heard that but chaplin sounds very different.

Also, I heard Principal is dead by the way. Would love to hear some of his other tunes.

How and when? This is very sad, he was a very kind person, a true gentleman.

Principal gone? since when? cos still around last october 2010, wi organized a Rub a dub dance in Old Harbour (near Spanish Town), longside Stur Gav sound, Jazzbo, Dillinger, Heptones, Silvertones,Trees, Twitch, Jah Thomas,..
and Principal was there. he told me he then came from west end Negril, where he lived.
